Once your CSV has been uploaded, you may come across a social media update you wish to delete without deleting the entire group. Simply click the red “X” to the right of the social media update. When you are ready to save your changes, simply click on the “set post options” button for that group.
You have the option to use hashtags within each group. Should you enter a hashtag, it will be added at the end of the social media update sent for that channel. You can also choose to tag users on Twitter, such as @Bulkly and this text will be added to the end of the update as well.
If you leave the hashtag field empty, nothing will be added to the end of your social media update.
To delete a group, simply click on the “delete group” button next to the group name you wish to delete.
Bulkly allows you to group together posts. This is useful should you want to segment your posts by topic, audience, channel, etc. It really allows you some flexibility in organizing your social media updates.
You can download a sample CSV file to get started by clicking the download template link in the overlay when doing a “Text Upload”. Additionally, you can build out your own as described below.
Bulkly accepts a CSV file that has the data in the following columns for the RSS upload:
- Row 1 can be left blank or used for labels for your columns
- Column A – This column is used to assign the social media update to a group (required)
- Column B – This column is used for the text of your social media update (required)
- Column C – Enter an optional link to be added to your update (optional)
- Column D – This column will natively attach an image to your update should the social media channel support it. Simply enter the direct URL of the image you would like to attach (optional)
Once your file is ready, save it as a CSV file and select it to upload from the “Text Upload” overlay.

Yes. Bulkly does not publish social media updates. Instead, Bulkly automatically drips status updates to your Buffer account where Buffer will post it on your behalf.
Can I review content before it is published on my social media accounts?
Absolutely. All content can be reviewed in your Buffer queue before Buffer posts it at your next scheduled time.
Why would someone want to automate social media?
It might sound counterintuitive, but by automating the re-use of status updates not only can you expose new followers to your updates, but you save time manually doing the same tasks over and over. Ultimately you can free up more time to spend engaging with your audience.
I have a new feature to suggest, how can I do that?
We’ve got a pretty strong list of new features to consider and are always interested to know what would help you out. If you have an idea to make Bulkly better, please contact us.
Before Bulkly can post to your Buffer account, you must first connect to it. This happens when you create an account on Bulkly.
I use Hootsuite as it simplifies the process of planning and scheduling content in advance which is a huge time saver. The dashboard gives you a snapshot of all your social feeds on one screen. This allows you to strategically deliver social content based on your content strategy. Moreover, the Hootlet tool within Hootsuite gives you the ability to find interesting articles around the web and share on your social media channels.
Although similar to Hootsuite, Buffer helps to cut your time posting to social media channels in half. Reach your target audience by using the post scheduler to schedule posts during peak hours.
I always say the proof is in the numbers. Therefore I use Google Analytics to track all of my web statistics. This powerful tool not only helps you determine organic vs. paid traffic it provides real time data to monitor web traffic which is invaluable. Google Analytics gives you the ability to gain insights into the types of content that are resonating with readers.
