A pin refers to a bookmarked post from the ever-popular social media platform Pinterest. Similar to a bulletin board pin, a web Pin contains a picture and a brief description and can come from nearly any website on the internet. Collected or “pinned” to a Pinterest account, pins reroute you to a pin’s source website with one click. Fellow Pinterest users can view, interact with, or even repin your pin as their own. Pins can be thematically organized into neat boards.
