What is Cost per click (CPC)?

Cost per click, or CPC, refers to a metric used to determine the price of each click in an advertising campaign that utilizes a pay-per-click strategy. The terms cost per click and pay per click are often used in different places, however, their meanings are essentially the same. The only technical difference between the two terms is that pay per click refers to a specific kind of advertising format, while cost per click refers to the actual amount that is charged for each click.
