What is Retweet?

A retweet is reposting specifically to Twitter. Retweeting a Twitter user’s post is much like quoting a post. Twitter adds a repost button to every post; by clicking the retweet button, users can quote the post exactly as it is or add commentary. When retweeting, commentary typically explains why the user has chosen to repost the Tweet. As with all reposting, retweeting boosts a post’s visibility and relevance.
